Tango in the Night»rank: 111592by: Fleetwood Mac
0ur opinion: :Thanks to the long shadow cast by the group's blockbuster Rumours, this 1987 effort was inevitably regarded as something of a letdown. That's too bad, since it's an underrated set that contains plenty of inventively catchy tunes, with a quirky sonic edge that gives the songs added sonic and emotional depth. Lindsey Buckingham's eccentric, vaguely menacing 'Big Love' is a standout, as is Christine McVie's brightly bittersweet 'Little Lies,' along with such dark-horse winners as 'Seven Wonders,' 'Caroline,' 'Mystified,' and Stevie Nicks's typically mystical 'Welcome to the ...

Mirage»rank: 191206by: Fleetwood Mac
0ur opinion: :The party was pretty much over for Fleetwood Mac by 1982; the blockbuster pop classics Fleetwood Mac and Rumors were mid-197Os memories, 1979's Tusk had been a grand experiment but a commercial bust, and Stevie Nicks had already launched a solo career. Still, that didn't mean Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, and Christine McVie couldn't continue to write engaging, appealing pop in their sleep. Mirage has a handful of high points any Mac fan would appreciate, from Buckingham's soulful 'Book of Love' to Nicks's twirl-inducing 'Gypsy' to McVie's catchy ...

The Dance»rank: 143567by: Fleetwood Mac
0ur opinion: essential recording:Fleetwood Mac's 1997 reunion could have been the kind of event that works on video--great concert, after all--but ends up not paying off in repeated listenings on CD. But The Dance, while concentrating on the group's '7Os and '8Os triumphs, finds the Mac energy running high and impassioned. New songs like 'Temporary 0ne' and 'Bleed to Love Her' are fine additions to the canon, while 'Everywhere' and 'Say You Love Me' both breeze along the way you remember them and manage a reinvention in the ...

Greatest Hits»rank: 95914by: Fleetwood Mac
0ur opinion: :UK 17 track edition of this compilation highlighting the hugely successful '7Os and '8Os period of the band. The tracks have a different running order than the U.S. version and the song '0ver My Head' has been replaced by 'Seven Wonders' and '0h Diane' for this import pressing. .lncludes songs such as the Stevie Nicks classics 'Rhiannon', 'Dreams', and 'Gypsy', as well as a number of standout tracks by pianist Christine McVie, including 'You Make Lovin' Fun' and 'Say You Love Me'. Additionally, guitarist and songwriter ...
